Devoted Devotionality

“This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.

—Jeremiah 30:2 NIV

Greetings to all from East Texas! My name is Sharon Simms, humble servant of our Savior, lover of God, family, people, and chocolate. The Lord planted a hunger in me to share His goodness with the world. How could I accomplish such a vast task?  Tis, then I recalled reading a tidbit of instruction from a college professor, “use what you have. Write what you know.” Ding. A light of understanding illuminated. I knew how the Lord had tapped an unlearned hypocrite like me on the shoulder. Had He not I would still be on my way to hell while attending church every Sunday, singing in the choir, and carrying a bible. Thus, I’m devoted to writing and speaking devotionals about the lessons the Father above has taught me, indescribable riches of His love through salvation in Jesus Christ, and eternal hope and comfort through the Holy Spirit. Perhaps the LORD gifted some of us with devoted devotionalities. Like fire shut up in our bones, we’re compelled to let the good news out.

The vision to publish a series of devotional and prayer journals entitled burns, even as I submit individual selections. In the meantime, the LORD has graced me to record daily doses of encouragement on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, Sharon Simms. Humbly seeking your sincere prayers.

Blessings,

Sharon Simms
